Gotta a Pocket Full of Sunshine

First of all, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! At the beginning of winter break, I took some pictures of my friend for her fashion blog! I used her camera and then she edited the pictures! I currently have a Nikon D100. However I haven't quite figured out how to use it, so I'm in the process of doing so (which is why I used her camera)!  I hope you like the pictures, enjoy! :)

This one is by far my favorite, I love the way the lighting turned out :)

Jesus is the Reason for the Season

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! Don't forget the true meaning of Christmas! In Luke 2:10-11 it says, "But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."  Jesus is a gift that NEVER stops giving! He is the light in darkness, hope for the hopeless, peace for the restless, joy for the gloomy, and freedom for the oppressed. He guides us with His light, gives us unconditional love, and takes away our sins. So in the mist of excitement of presents today remember the true meaning of Christmas! I almost forgot something I was really excited about yesterday; my family and I bought Christmas present for a family that couldn't afford to. I was so excited that the kids were going to have presents to open this morning, God is so BIG!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I'd have to say, Christmas is one of my favorite holidays out of the entire year; not because of the gifts I receive, but because of the joy it brings, the Christmas music constantly playing, houses are lit up, and trees are decorated! I love how happy everyone is and Christmas in general just puts me in a happy mood. Although it's nice to receive gifts from others, it's even better to give to others in return or even set aside time to volunteer. Last night I went and bell rang for the Salvation Army. Let me tell you, I've been praying for snow, but when we got snow last night and I was out ringing bells, I was wishing it wasn't. However it was for a good cause and certainly worth the bitter cold. Just remember there are always other who are less fortunate so be thankful for what you have and the opportunities you have do things for others!

Sisters

Last night my twin sister made ginger bread man cookies from scratch for us to decorate. I loved spending time with her! We may fight at times, but she is my sister, best friend, other half, and I know she will always be there for me and I'll always be there for her. She does way too much for me and I honestly don't know what I'll do when our paths part in the future. In fact, I chose to go to the same college as her and we room together. The thought of living everyday separately with our own family, home, and job makes me sad, but I know that will be awhile and eventually we will have to grow up. Love ya sis!

I give credit to my sister, she's an excellent baker!

Family

This morning I was really just thinking about how Thankful I am for the family God has blessed me with. Being together on the holidays is one of the greatest gifts of them all. It's important to never take family for granted because you never know what tomorrow brings and in the end they're the only people who will always have your back.  To go along with this post, I'd like to share a shoot I did of some Family Christmas photos.

These are my best friends in college, including my twin sister. They are always there for me and I don't know where I would be without them. Adjusting to college was difficult, but having my friends helped me a lot. I hope that they're friends I will have the rest of my life.
